The containers were craned into a very tight area in Victoria Square, Birmingham, to be used as a sturdy stage set base. An enormous Titanic type vessel was created by covering the containers with artwork, onto which aerial gymnasts and actors produced an amazing performance. Professionals joined forces with a huge amateur choir, live musicians and more than 140 community performers. The event was accompanied with a stunning light show, watched by over 15,000 spectators over three nights.
To give the containers a professional external finish, we blew in the paintwork with self-priming specialised container paint. We also supplied a set of double ended container twistlocks for stacking purposes.
We are very pleased and proud to say that ‘The Voyage’ was a huge success! Everything went perfectly to plan, and our client was extremely happy.
