A 20ft new high cube container and two 40ft new high cube containers were utilised for this build.

The following modifications were carried out in both the 20ft and 40ft containers. The walls, ceiling and cargo doors were lined with 50mm compressed cavity slab, this was laid over a 40mm steel box section frame with 3mm Alu-Panel and painted with a white gloss finish. 4.5 mm aluminium durbar floor was installed over the existing container floors of all containers, this was glued and screwed using flat head screws, to provide a flush finish. The aluminium floors were primed with Epoxy Metal Primer and durbar floor overlaid with chemical resistant floor coating. Circular 50mm drain plug apertures were created and surrounded with stainless steel. We cut through the bearers and the bottom rail to create a 50mm aperture in order to feed the plastic pipework. A ball valve release was fitted for shipping purposes and pipework was connected to the drain hole aperture at floor level. Lockboxes and insurance rated padlocks (complete with two keys) were fitted to all containers.

In addition to the above specification, the 20ft container had a standard weatherproof personnel door with entry handles and panic bar installed. 355.6mm and 152.4mm diameter circular apertures were also created and surrounded with a steel collar box section. The container was then prepared, masked and painted to RAL6019 with self-priming specialised container paint.

Again, in addition to the above specification, the 40ft container had a fire exit insulated, weatherproof personnel door with entry handles and panic bar installed. This included a 10 point locking system with 5 pin anti-drill Euro profile cylinder and full door furniture. Locking bars were also removed and an aperture was created and surrounded with steel box section frame, a 5-degree louvered vent was then fitted to avoid water ingress. Finally, the containers were prepared, masked and painted to RAL7038 with self-priming specialised container paint.

All containers were delivered on time and to our client’s very? bespoke specification, they have since ordered a 30ft container to similar specifications.
