The specification largely remained unchanged from what they had with Cargo 1, but with 44 20ft high cube containers, it was double the size.
The fabrication work consisted of large sliding window doors and external painting. Cargo 2 needed much larger open plan areas for restaurant seating, retail and yoga, therefore there was a lot of work removing container sides to enable them to be linked together.
Our client ensured the ground was ready for installation and linking, and because of our joint experience with Cargo 1, this was a very easy process.
Wapping Wharf is a very busy area, but during delivery; even with the added bustle of Cargo 1, everything ran smoothly. After installation, our client requested an extra five 20ft high cube containers for storage and eight 20ft retail units, so these were added to the side and became Cargo 2a.
We really do encourage you to make a trip to Bristol to see this gigantic feat of modern construction.
