The client was carrying out an exercise to find out what would be the best option for their health and safety project which would involve a new workshop. We sent over our quotation along with the relevant information that the customer required to make this project work. A couple of months later we contacted our customer to find out if this is still something they were looking into, and they informed us that they were ready to place an order. The specification was confirmed and a sketch was drawn up for the workshop. Works were carried out in our depot in Manchester and the unit was delivered problem free on 31st July.

The specification for the workshop is detailed below:
20ft quality used A grade container.
Line container walls, roof and cargo doors with 12mm ply with melamine finish over glass/wool insulation to timber stud frame.
Install standard insulated, weatherproof personnel door (W 910mm x H 2065mm Including Frame – with 90 degree opening of 710mm). 10 point locking system with 5 pin anti-drill Euro profile cylinder and full door furniture. Tie back included to avoid door slamming and rain run-off strip above door. Left Hung, outward opening. Blow in paintwork with self-priming specialised container paint. Personnel door will not be lined as already insulated.
Create aperture and box frame. Install standard insulated, weatherproof double glazed sliding window (945mm x 945mm) with anti-vandal shutters (W 1060mm x H 1035mm). Includes finger bolts and stainless steel anti-knockout hinges. Tie back included to avoid window slamming and rain run-off strip above window. Blow in paintwork with self-priming specialised container paint.
Fit steel work bench: custom built to fit per drawing, 3ft high from internal container floor and 3ft deep.
Fit electrics: 2 x 5ft strip lights, 2 x 2KW wall mounted convector heaters (down flow) fitted near ceiling to prevent being damaged), 4 x 240v double sockets (metal fascia’s) with RCD consumer unit, and single phase external connection.

The containers were delivered on time, and to our clients bespoke specification.
