The full specification was approved and the order was received on 2nd May 2014.
The customer provided a CAD drawing of positioning that was approved by our CAD team and fabricators prior to commencement of works. The lining needed to be as thin as possible as the customer required as much space in the unit as possible in order to fit their hyperbaric chamber. The lining also needed to be fire rated so we suggested fitting 12mm 30 minute fire board over 50mm compressed glass/wool insulation with a white finish. The timber batons would utilise corrugations to provide a minimum insulation depth, approx. thickness of insulation on walls (from inner corrugation) would be 30mm. All aspects of the conversion had to be recessed in order that the container be shipped in the future, the list of works carried out are as follows:
Double recessed personnel door (High security with 10 point locking system).
Double recessed shoebox entry made out of steel plate and re-enforced to take customers own equipment.
Containers walls, roof, personnel door and cargo doors lined with 12mm, 30 minute fire rated board over 50mm compressed glasswool insulation with 3mm melamine white finish between a 50mm timber stud frame.
Slimline Lockbox
The container was loaded in Glasgow and shipped to it’s end location, so a valid CSC plate was required after conversion. The container was completed on 4th June 2014, and delivered on 9th June 2014.
