It’s that time of year again and its sooooo cold and wet outside at the moment and although we can guarantee our containers to be weatherproof, unfortunately we can’t guarantee them to be condensation proof. The cold weather, which is one of the main causes of moisture, can affect the inside your container and it will only get worse if you leave it, possibly leading to mould! Not to worry though, because here at Lion containers we have two key solutions regarding keeping your containers damp free! 

The quickest and cheapest method is by putting
moisture traps inside your container. Moisture traps work by the internal crystals absorbing the water droplets the air which helps stop any moisture that is inside of your container. They last around 6-8 weeks and they are easy to use and very cheap to buy. 
Grafo-therm is another way of preventing water from ruining your items. Grafotherm is a spray foam which has a grey/white finish as shown in this picture below. It is sprayed onto your container roof, this acts like a big sponge because it just soaks up any humidity in your container, and prevents it from dripping onto your stored items. This method of condensation control is very safe as it is non- toxic and fire proof, and its guaranteed to last a very long time which could be more cost effective to you than other temporary methods.
