My first ever container conversion took place in December 2014. This was one of my biggest learning curves because it allowed me to take control of my own job, and answer the customer’s questions regarding the job. This was a really interesting and exciting time for me, as I was learning at the same time as giving the customer knowledge about the products we offer.

I had been working at Lion Containers for four months and already a customer placed their very first order with me for a conversion. This conversion involved a 20ft new (once shipped)
side opening container, that we ply lined with fitted electrics and lockboxes. We also sent a
CISA insurance rated padlock through the post. I was so proud when I went into depot to sign off the container before it reached the customer, and I saw my quote come to life. After this sale I felt much more confident with conversion modifications. I felt like I had gained knowledge of how conversions work, and I could pass this knowledge onto the customer, and my team mates!

Another job that I loved working on was for a company called Vivergo Fuels who work with renewable energy. They first enquired for a 20ft used grade A container to store cabinets and documents in, but as we started to discuss their enquiry further the specification changed more and more. They had quite a lot to put into the container so they decided to go with 2 x
40 new (once shipped) containers, quite a change from a single 20ft container. To store their documents away neatly they decided to have
heavy duty longspan shelving installed and have a personnel door fitted for easy access. The reason why this is also one of my favourite conversion jobs is because I loved talking to the customer. He was such a nice friendly man, we discussed everything from start to finish and he was great to work with. He was really happy with the outcome of our service and left myself (sales) and Amber (transport) a lovely comment.

“Hi Gals, Both containers have arrived and were exactly what we needed. Thank you both for your help in this. The Delivery driver was also very professional and polite. (Can you pass this on for me).”
