“My wife loves her art and crafts, and the spare room is getting too cluttered for all of her materials and tools. I would love to treat her to her very own craft room and my friend suggested a container in my back garden. Would this be something you could help me with please? I would like it ready to give as a present on Valentine’s Day”
If your wifes equipment is on the expensive side of things we could offer some products that will help keep your container dry and condensation free.
Ply lining and insulation,
Grafo Therm applied to the roof, or
moisture traps are all effective ways of battling that pesky condensation, with different price ranges applying to all.
I am sure keeping your wifes equipment dry and warm is high on your priority list, but what happens if shes wishes to work in the container throughout the cold and bitter winter? Well fear not, we can install heaters and electrics into your container unit! This would include 2 no. 5 twin anti corrosive light fitting and switches, 2 no. 13 amp twin sockets and 2 no 2kw wall convector heaters. Also, as this is a project which will end up being placed into your garden, I am pretty sure getting a
window fitted would not be a bad idea, especially for those beautiful summery nights.
With a project like this there is really no limit! If you really wanted to push the boat out, and really get her heart throbbing you could consider some mood lighting in the container along with the heater already supplied!. Whilst thinking about this job I keep getting more and more ideas, another idea would be to get
roller shutters fitted to one side of the container, this would allow for full and easy access. Do not worry, the containers’ weakness does not suffer as we actually re-enforce the top container rail and sides! If you only require a
small access door that is no problem, with the list of
accessories we have to offer nothing is impossible.
Another amazing idea which would be extremely ideal for your wife is to consider some
shelving in the container, as this would help store all the fiddly arts and crafts equipment that she may be storing inside. You could even assembly it yourself and place it to your own specification!
This job which actually featured on the
Amazing Spaces TV programme is very similar to yours, hopefully it will help you get a feel for the final product! I look forward to your response.
