Royal welsh show 2025

Lion Containers returned to the Royal Welsh Show 2025 with energy, creativity, and container solutions to inspire an array of future projects. Over four eventful days, we connected with existing and new customers, showcasing how versatile a shipping container can be.

Take a look at how the week unfolded.

Day 1 – Kicking Off with the Moo-sic Cube Unveiling

We launched the Royal Welsh Show week with the exciting reveal of the Moo-sic Cube at the Young Farmers Club (YFC) Village. YFC Wales Chair Dewi and our Marketing Manager Howard proudly unveiled the custom-built container, which now stores essential sound equipment for YFC’s many lively events.

With its bold cow-print graphic and map of Wales, the container stood out immediately. Visitors couldn’t help but stop and ask questions. The Moo-sic Cube didn’t just serve YFC’s secure storage needs, its eye-catching design created a real visual impact.

As the showground opened to the public, the Lion stand quickly filled up. We welcomed a stream of new faces and returning customers, all eager to discuss this year’s projects and explore their own container conversion ideas.

Day 2 – Hosting a podcast at our container stand

On Day 2 of the Royal Welsh Show, we hosted one of Wales’ most popular podcasts: For Wales, See Wales. As proud sponsors of the podcast, it was great to have the team set up and record not one, but two episodes from within our 20ft container. The production team remarked on how spacious the interior was, with ample space for tech and equipment.

Setting up the podcast studio inside the container took no time at all. Despite the added tech and product displays, the space remained open and functional. This setup proved just how adaptable a container can be – perfect not only for storage or site offices, but even for broadcasting.

The podcast lineup featured high-profile politicians and representatives from both of Wales’ major farming unions. Crowds gathered to listen and the buzz around our stand proceeded throughout the day. Meanwhile, our conversions experts continued to welcome visitors to the stand, answering key questions for potential customers.

Day 3 – Crowds, Cob Day & Vox Pops

Welsh Cob Day brought even more visitors our way. After the championship events, people flooded into the surrounding areas and our stand saw a major spike in foot traffic. Enquiries poured in, and our team kept busy restocking merch and engaging with visitors.

We also launched a fun initiative with members of YFC – vox pops around the showground. YFC members spoke with the public about shipping containers, asking what they knew and how they’d use one. The responses were brilliant, and we’ve started sharing them on our Instagram and TikTok profiles. Tune in to hear what people had to say!

We also loved reconnecting with past giveaway participants from YFC. It was great to see familiar faces and hear how they’re getting on.

Day 4 – Final Day, Final Deals

Interacting with customers
Interacting with customers

On Day 4, things didn’t slow down. As always with closing day of the Royal Welsh Show, many attendees returned to lock in deals and have a more in-depth chat with our sales and conversions teams about potential projects.

Throughout the week, we spoke with visitors from all across the UK. The distances from which visitors travel to this annual event exemplifies the Royal Welsh Show’s importance as a national platform. From agricultural professionals to educators and local authorities, we saw a wide range of interest in how containers can provide solutions to cross-industry challenges.
