Containers Topple Whilst Travelling Through Philippines Tyhoon

Here’s something a little different for #ShippingContainerStories. Instead of writing about someone finding or doing something interesting in a container, here’s something that happened to a container… well a whole bunch of them actually!

On it’s way to docking at The Port of Seattle, this Maersk ship travelled through the typhoon that ravaged the Philippines after departing Korea on 12th November. Cost Guard officials stated that 53 containers were damaged, and 18 were lost overboard in international waters. We do not envy the Port of Seattle workers in getting this one sorted out!

We would love to hear from you if you have found something interesting, or have done something interesting with a shipping container. Let us know and we’ll publish your story with a link to your company (if applicable), we will also publish it on Twitter with the hashtag
#ShippingContainerStories. Email
marketing@lioncontainers.co.uk with your story.
